The Edmund Trust is a charity which provides services to people with a learning disability across the East of England.
Our history spans over seventy years. The help we are able to offer may be in a supported living scheme, residential care or support to live at home by using our domiciliary care team. We also provide respite services for short breaks away from home, as well as emergency respite for times of crisis. We are able to support people with a wide range of needs including complex autism, profound multiple learning disability, acquired brain injury and as people age, early onset dementia. We provide a home for life if appropriate, in the person’s best interests and their choice. We provide person-centred support, allowing individuals to choose how they want to live their lives, enabling them to reach their full potential. We encourage people to achieve their aspirations with outcome focused support.
We pride ourselves on our excellent level of care. We are well established and able to respond to the needs of people with a learning disability within their own community. We have an excellent relationship with the local authority, our prime funder, as well as close links with local colleges and specialist education.
The Edmund Trust & Eddie’s are a registered charity which is led by its Board of Trustees. The board meets bimonthly. Our outstanding board generously give their time for free and work tirelessly to support all aspects of the charity.
