Salary: £30,919 per annum (35 hours per week)

Shift pattern: 5 days a week with alternate weekends.

As a growing charity, we are looking for an Assistant Service Manager to lead a team of Support Workers to provide valuable and caring support to a wonderful lady who has Autism and a learning disability. You will be based in Ely, working in a supported living service where every day will be different – you could be supporting with daily tasks like cooking and shopping, helping with attending appointments and trips out, or getting involved in activities. The lady you will be supporting is great company, has a bit of a mischievous streak and loves playing games like hide and seek. She is looking for someone who can support her to make good choices, give her the opportunity to try new things, and is prepared to be silly and have lots of fun!

Requirements:

  • Experienced at supporting people who have learning and physical disabilities and have experience of Autism
  • Able to coach and mentor staff with confidence through experience
  • Great at communicating
  • Proactive, dynamic and adaptable
  • Person centred
  • Experienced at mentoring and supporting staff and leading a team positively
  • Able to recognise that families have an important part in the person’s life and have insightful and valuable contributions
  • Driven and passionate
  • Able to think outside the box
  • Able to undertake administration tasks in a timely and organised manner
  • Confident in following support agreements, plans and policies at all times
  • Able to work as a team but also confident at lone working
  • Able to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings
  • You will be qualified, working towards or be willing to work towards, the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • Are a driver with your own car

Please note:

Upon completing your probationary period, you will be included on an out of hours on call rota covering all services across The Edmund Trust as Tier 1 support. This rota is shared across all managers and is typically an average of 1 week in every 3 months.
