This is £26,280 per annum (FTE is 40 hours per week, pro rata for part time)

Hours Per Week: Either 20 hours (i.e. 2 waking night shifts) or 40 hours (i.e. 4 waking night shifts) available

As a growing charity, we are looking to expand our team of Support Workers to provide valuable and caring support to adults with learning disabilities.

We are looking for a female waking nights Support Worker to assist a fun and lively young woman who lives in her own home. This woman who we support loves being active and on the go during the day, with a support team who are happy, animated and up for fun. She is looking for a happy, kind and patient female to support her during her night time routine, watching out for her and periodically checking on her during the night.

Requirements:

  • Experienced in support work
  • We have waking night shifts available on a Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. This could suit one person looking for a 40 hour full-time position, or two people looking for a 20 hour part-time position.
  • A nurturing, supportive and patient approach
  • Strong communication skills, being able to pick up on both verbal and non-verbal cues

Main responsibilities

  • To provide person-centred support to the people who use our services.
  • To follow the support plans of the people we support and any other relevant documentation
  • To support all people in line with their individual communication needs
  • Assist with daily activities, which may include medication administration, and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain open communication with the people we support, their families and within the staffing team to ensure needs are met effectively.
