This role is truly special, as you will be providing person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and Autism, allowing each to choose how they want to live their lives and enabling them to reach their full potential.

Main responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support that empowers individuals to take part in community activities and social events.
• Encourage independence with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
• Provide emotional support and build meaningful, trusting relationships.
• Promote choice, dignity and respect at all times.

Requirements:

• A nurturing, supportive and patient approach
• Strong communication skills, being able to pick up on both verbal and non-verbal cues
• Shifts can either be long or short day shifts, possibly sleep ins and will involve every other weekend.
• You need to hold a full UK driving licence.
• New to social care – no problem, as we have excellent internal training for all support staff.
• Experienced? Then we will value and offer to enhance the skills you bring!
