I have been living in my home for 18 months now and I am getting on well, prior to this, life was a bit tricky and I found having support difficult. I am now supported by The Edmund Trust and they have found me a team who really listen to me, help me live the life I want and help me stay safe. One of my staff has decided to move on so I am looking for a couple of people to join my team.

I tend to get on well with people who enjoy being outdoors, are willing to try new things, are enthusiastic but not over the top, are motivated and like more to life than sitting around (although I do like chilling too)

It is really important to me to be independent, I find it difficult when people try and take over and sometimes I can find it difficult to manage my emotions when things go wrong. I need staff who can stay calm, accept that sometimes you just have to go with the flow as it helps me move on and be able to fix my problem.

I love going to the gym, going for dog walks, working with horses, playing pool and darts, going on my Playstation and have recently started going Go-Karting.

People who support me well tend to be calm, patient, consistent, stick to the plan and will always tell the truth.

Healthy eating and exercise play a vital part in my life so being able to cook is crucial.

I get really worried about having new staff, I can take some time to be myself but if you hang in there, we will definitely have some good times.

I’m looking for a couple of people who could do between 16 – 40 hours a week and are happy to sleep in. If you wanted a full time contract you could support me for part of your hours and support other people in Ely or Milton areas.

We operate a 24 hour seven days a week service with a variety of shift patterns that are based on the people we support’s individual requirements.  Our full-time contracts are based on 40 hours per week with part-time contracts also available as well as Relief Bank work.

In return we offer these great benefits:

  • 22 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays
  • An opportunity to gain recognised qualifications (incl NVQ’s, Care Certificate)
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Managers on site
  • Career progression opportunities
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • Staff referral scheme
