We are currently recruiting for Support Workers for our fantastic services in Histon, Cambridgeshire. The Poplars offers respite care, and gives adults with learning disabilities a chance to ‘get away from it all’ in a relaxed and supportive environment. How long they stay in their ‘home from home’ and what they choose to do in that time, is completely up to them.

Guests can participate in a range of activities during their stay, for instance, trips to the cinema, bowling or going out to local restaurants for food. We would welcome candidates who are outgoing and would be able to encourage these activities.

This service also offers working in the community with the people we support, helping them learn new skills, become more confident and have greater independence.

We operate a 24 hour seven days a week service with a variety of shift patterns that are based on the people we support’s individual requirements.  Our full-time contracts are based on 40 hours per week with part-time contracts also available.
